Robert Stone is the CEO and President of MrTaxes.ca Inc., a National tax franchise with 11 locations in the Lower Mainland and was one of three individuals chosen to write the training content for the three accredited courses for the Certified Tax Preparers CTP certification program.

He will be speaking on pitching to venture captial companies and how he secured his spot on CBC's Dragons Den. He will intertwine the importance of a solid business plan and the importance of your relationship with the financial side of any idea, product or service.

Nancy Paris is the Director of the Product and Process Applied Research Team (PART) at BCIT. Since 1996, she has been responsible for the growth and management of a twelve person multi-disciplinary team of researchers that conducts applied R&D in emerging and next generation product design in health technologies, energy, consumer electronics, and industrial products for clients in industry, academia, government and the community.

David Perkins has 17 years in the financial planning field and specializes in working with business owners and high net worth individuals. Small business owners are of particular interest to him because there are more tax planning opportunities available to them.

During this talk David will provide real examples to show us how he has used different tax planning strategies in his practice in order to help his clients pay less tax. He will also teach us how to structure our finances and how we might adapt the rules to our specific situation.

Jayne Seagrave is Marketing Director for the Vancouver Tool Corporation a company she established with her partner in 1996.

Brad has been developing products for almost 20 years and will share the keys to launching a product based business without breaking the bank.

Oswaldo Koch is a successful entrepreneur who can tell us how to effectively implement ideas, strategies and tactics. He entered the Dragons Den on CBC pitching his Master Moves Core Training System and turned his idea into a global success.

His presentation will outline how the development of Business Best Practices can reduce business failure.

Ian will talk about idea, prototype, product, developing sales, and sell-off of the entire product line cycle.
Ian has successfully invented a product called TABLE SHOX. www.tableshox.com. With that idea he formed a company, built up sales to a point that he received an offer to sell the company to an American competitor. That was 18 months ago.
Now, Ian has gone onto developing other products.
