From Idea to Inventory – The Steps you need to take.
Your $1,000,000 idea is worth nothing if you don’t turn it into inventory that you can sell. But there are many questions that you will need answered before you can get to that point. Have you considered the following:
Am I ready to patent? How do I make a prototype? Who can manufacture this for me? What type of volume am I willing to commit to? What type of upfront costs can I expect? Who owns the molds? Should I consider offshore production? Should my package hang on the wall or sit on a shelf? What do I put on the package? Do I need an instruction sheet? Do I include batteries? What kind of margins do I want? What kind of margins do I need?
